Discussion:
[imp] Special characters in IMAP folder names

I've discovered that having an ampersand in an IMAP folder name prevents
users from replying to messages within that folder. For example, a folder
named:
Games.Axis & Allies
won't work, but:
Games.AxisAllies
or:
Games.Axis and Allies
both work. Would it be possible to prevent users from using ampersands in
folder names? (when creating or renaming folders using IMP and not some
other IMAP client, of course)

This has been fixed _long_ ago. What version of IMP do you have?

Can't reproduce this here, running 3.2.2-RC1

I'm using qmail 1.03 with Courier IMAP 2.1.1. I installed Horde and IMP
from an RPM supplied by KRUD (www.tummy.com/krud). I checked, and the rpm
they provide is imp-3.2.1-1. With that, on RedHat 9, I consistently get
this message if an ampersand is in a folder name:
Warning: Bad message number in /var/www/html/horde/imp/compose.php on
line 519
Warning: Bad message number in /var/www/html/horde/imp/compose.php on
line 584
The subject line is:
Re:
and the body of the message is:
Quoting <>:
So, I guess the question is whether 3.2.1-1 is current. If not, I suppose
I should be asking Tummy to update their distribution...right?

No, 3.2.1 is current, 3.2.2 is only a release candidate. But this version
should have this fix too.
Is your Horde current? What is the URL of the compose window if you reply?

I'm running Horde 2.2.3-1. The URL of the compose window is:

It looks like the mailbox names gets encoded twice. But as I said this was
fixed already and I can't reproduce it, so you're on you own.
